Peterkin Homes Ltd from Laurencekirk in Aberdeenshire has scooped a prestigious Master Builder of the Year Award, taking the prize for Best New Homes Project in Scotland.
The 10th Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders to find the best builders in Britain, tests the entrant’s technical ability together with their customer service skills. The Awards are unique, as every entrant must be nominated by a satisfied customer.
Peterkin Homes Ltd beat hundreds of other firms to claim the region’s Best New Homes prize and will now go through to compete in the national Master Builder of the Year Awards. The winners of the 10th Master Builder of the Year Awards will be announced by celebrity property guru Phil Spencer who will present the coveted accolades at a luncheon on Friday March 11th 2011 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
Grahame Barn, FMB Scotland regional director said: “The standard of entries in Scotland this year is amongst the highest we have seen in the 10- year history of the Awards and reflects the expertise, attention to detail and dedication of the nation’s builders. What really stood out this year was the extent to which builders were prepared to go way beyond the call of duty to build a good working relationship with their clients and to achieve the best possible result for them. The results are stunning, including some highly complicated building projects that marry the latest technology and energy efficiency features with traditional quality craftsmanship.
“The Master Builder of the Year Awards definitely gives customers the opportunity to shout about why they love their builders and thank them for their excellent work. The winning builders should feel justly proud of their achievements.”
“Peterkin Homes has done a fantastic job to win the Scotland region award, and we wish them well in the national competition.”
