Peterkin Homes Ltd has scooped a prestigious Master Builder of the Year Award, taking the prize for best New Home in Scotland.
The Master Builder of the Year Awards, a nationwide search by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) to find the best builders in the UK, is unique. Nominations must come from a satisfied client, and builders are judged on their all-round performance: technical ability together with customer service skills, attention to detail and the end result of the project.
Laurencekirk based Peterkin Homes Ltd was chosen by the region’s judges to win the New Home of the Year prize and will now go through to compete in the national finals. The national winners of the 12th Master Builder of the Year Awards will be announced by TV presenter and architecture enthusiast Charlie Luxton, who will present the coveted accolades at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 18th February 2015.
Gordon Nelson, FMB Service Director for Scotland said: “The Master Builder of the Year Awards give clients the opportunity to celebrate a job well done and to say thank you to their builder. For the building industry it is an opportunity to celebrate all that is good about small local builders and their importance to the recovering UK economy.
“Time and time again we have been impressed with just how far these builders will go to ensure their client is happy. It is this dedication that we want to celebrate.
“Peterkin Homes should feel justly proud of their achievement in winning the New Home of the Year Award, and we wish them every success in the national competition.”
If Peterkin Homes wins the overall Master Builder of the Year title, they will drive away in the top prize of a brand new commercial vehicle, while the client who nominated them wins a fantastic £3,000 prize.
